Equipetrol

The most popular nightlife spot in Santa Cruz, Bolivia is between the 2nd and 3rd "anillos" (rings), along Avenida San Martin in the Equipetrol district. There you'll most likely find a younger crowd hanging out along the strip of bars, pubs, clubs, discos, karaoke and restaurants.

Locals refer to this street as "Equipetrol" and during the weekend this place gets very busy with a long line of cars slowly driving up and down the streets with their stereo on full blast.

With a good range of lively bars and restaurants, you can meet many new locals and experience the numerous discos. You can also on the weekend enjoy some live music at different disco clubs and drink until the early morning.

Unless you are staying in hotel in the area or have your own car, you will need to take a taxi to get here. You'll also need to bring plenty of cash because drinks are more expansive here compared to other parts of the city. If you plan on going to a disco you'll need to dress to impress because doormen aren't afraid of turning away scruffy looking gringo backpackers.

Equipetrol is a great place for a weekend night out and is the best place to experience the diverse nightlife of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
