La Paz Zoo

The La Paz Zoo is located just past Valle de la Luna and the La Paz Golf Club in the area of Mallasa, in the city of La Paz's southern wealthy neighboorhoods.

The zoo features a number of animals that are native to Bolivia including llamas, alpaca, foxes, jaguars, condors, vultures, monkeys, parrots, snakes and many other species. You'll also find non-native animals such as the African lion.

One of the zoo's main attraction is it's gigantic condor dome cage, which can be seen from a distance. The zoo also features the Spectacled Bear or known as the Andean Bear, which is the only species of bear found in South America.
