Altai Oasis
This place is about a 10 minute taxi ride just outside town and is one of the most popular places to stay at in Sorata. They have cabins with kitchen, and comfortable beds, which can be used between two and five people, as well as rooms with private or shared bath. There is also a campsite where you can setup a tent. The grounds are filled with flowers, plants and wildlife. There is also an excellent on-site restaurant. Owners are very helpful with information for things to do in the area. Prices range from $2-$15 per person.

Hostal Las Piedras
This is a great budget option that is a short walk downhill from the main plaza. The place has beautiful views of the surrounding valleys and the rooms have good size beds. The owner is very helpful on information for attractions in the area.

Hostal Mirador
Another great budget option that has spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The rooms are spread over several floors and are comfortable with wooden beds, OK mattresses, table and chair. Dorm beds here go for as little as $3.

Residential Sorata
Located just off of the main plaza, Plaza Enrique Penaranda, this place is the former commercial house Casa Gunther, which date backs to over 130 years ago. The hotel has old and new rooms set around a beautiful garden and wooden balconies. Some of the quarters are a pretty worn, but all are full of charm. Prices are a bargain considering youre staying in such a colonial gem. There is also a restaurant on-site and video lounge.

Hostal Panchita
This is a good budget option centrally located off of the main plaza. Room are set around a small courtyard and some rooms have balconies that overlook the main plaza.

Villa Sorata
Set in a white colonial house, this place has spacious rooms with high roofs and wooden rafters. The rooms have private bathrooms and decent beds.
